Not having internet in the Lodge is seriously getting to be a pain in the tits.
But we need to pay our bills and they keep stacking up so internet is on the back burner once again.Fuck our lives.

We played Outbreak Fest 2012 and it was a better show than the piece of shit we mustered in London.I don't know what happened but it took us all working at 100% to fuck up that show.Anyway NEGATIVITY aside heres a video of the Bang Bros set as filmed by XveganXjusticeX.He filmed pretty much every band on the day and the sound for the most of them is pretty awesome.

As if i wasn't going to post up the IronXCurtain video.That set was the best thing i have ever seen.London straight edge in full effect!

Shit aside the 7" should be going to press soon.I've been out of the loop as i have retreated into a cave this last week or two.I don't like fun anymore.

...have just come back from London after playing with Frustration,Cornered,Get wise,Speak Up and Think Twice.We could have played better but whats done is done and the night was fun.Thats the important thing right?

Well its been a while since i posted in here.Hopefully i sort that out.

I post on the React! board a bit and saw that they were doing a secret santa deal so decided to get involved.I missed out on the Thunder Lizard one but from what i can see it might have been for the best as some people got royally shafted.#bummer for real.

Sooo last weekend we went over to the United states of kingdom to play Outbreak fest with our most beloved dudes Frustration.
It involved an awful lot of travelling, posing, sleeping and alcohol/energy drinks.It was unreal.

We got to play with some awesome bands.Honourable mentions to Deal With It, Wardogs and Broken Teeth.We missed IronxCurtain due to the travel time.Im bummed as really wanted to check them out.their demo is sick.I DRINK MILK CREW!!!!Needless to say it was a truly awesome time and hanging out with some awesome people is always a plus.the dudes putting that shit on did a real good job.You can read a review of the show here.

Chile!How many bands do you know from here?If the answer is none WHERE THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN?

Remission have been tearing it up since 2008 and have been expanding outwards ever since that has resulted in them putting out their 'Wings of Promise' 7" on React.As a result they are playing the React records showcase in Gilman on September 23-24.
I finally get to see these guys play and can't convey how excited i am.

If you wanna hear how awesome Remission are clock tunes on their myspace and then immeadiately go buy their shit from the Amendment store.You can also pick up their split with the awesome Police and Thieves there.So good.

For the first issue of my zine i talked to Philippe who sings for Remission.He's a good dude.A very good dude.

Philippe, can you give me a bit of a history of Remission?
Four friends came together in mid 2008 to start a new band. This band wouldn't be straight edge and would have no specific lines to follow in song writing though we have been compared to Verbal Assault and 411 which is a major compliment. After a few songs and live shows, we recorded a 3 song demo cd to get our music out to our friends and public. Add some more playin, lots of practicing, and in early 2009 we recorded our debut lp entitled "Accept". This came out thanks to Amendment records in the middle of the year and just recently sold out. We perform at a slow pace having shows aprox. once a month and are very happy with how things have worked out for us. We're writing new songs and just released the demo in 7inch form with the collaboration of Tribute fanzine from Germany.

What brought you to hardcore and what keeps you here?
My introduction to hardcore music was through late 90s skate videos. Once I heard Minor Threat, Dag Nasty and 7 Seconds I was instantly hooked. Creating music, seeing my friends and being part of a positive, aware and exciting counterculture is what keeps me here.

Was this your first band?
This is my third band. Three years ago I played bass in a band called Approach and sang in another band called Remains To Be Seen. Both were straight edge hardcore and shared members. Daniel who plays guitar in Remission played in both as well. Parallel to Remission, Cristian who plays drums and myself started up an emo band where he has switched to guitar duties and I sing in spanish, our native tongue.

The first time i heard you guys was through my friend Alex. We were on a bus and he insisted i listen to the songs he had. I was blown away. How long was Accept in the making?
Awesome, thanks to both you and Alex. Accept took a little less than a year to complete. First the song writing, then recording it in a week and afterwards mixing and mastering which took a long time.

This may sound like a token question but is there anyone band that influenced your sound?
There's tons. Musically and lyrically there's hints of Verbal Assault, Farside, 411, Outspoken, Uniform Choice and Reason To Believe.

I would liken you to maybe Outspoken if im describing you to friends do you think thats a fair comparison?
I guess not since Outspoken's records have lots of coherence within the song's style. Our lp is hard to pinpoint as so many of the songs sound different from each other. They're a great band. Sometimes hanging out we'd all watch the reunion show vhs from '98 and it's so good.

What is Remissions touring history like? And more importantly when will you get to Europe?
Dude we have never toured haha. We've only left the city twice, once to go to Talca and the other to Concepcion. Both are cities in Southern Chile. We would love to tour next year but first we'd like to have a new 7" and Lp to show for. It could happen in the U.S or Europe if we don't break up for stupid reasons.

What has been your most memorable moment in Remission?
This is kinda embarrasing but I guess it was playing a show when we first started out where none of the four fucked up a song and played a perfect set haha. Leaving in my grandmother's honda with a tape player to play down south was very cool also and the moment we received our first vinyl release colored purple was excellent as well.

Ok, vinyl. Is there any band in particular you collect? I am aware you are a big Dag Nasty fan.
I collect Verbal Assault, One Step Ahead and Dag Nasty records. Those bands I adore. Besides them, my goal is to get almost every record I really enjoy in vinyl format though it's hard because I'm down to the more expensive ones. My collection is almost all hardcore and several melodic hardcore and emo records.

Whats your favourite piece of wax you own?
Dag Nasty - Can I Say, the most perfect Lp ever written.

If you could do a split with any band ever, who is it? And what colour vinyl would you press it on?
So many to name, but I'd go with Reason To Believe on black vinyl. Naturally I could have named bands that I like far more but I wouldn't want to fuck up their legacy, plus I'm taking a more personal and emotional direction on the lyrics which would work well with RTB.

What do you do outside Remission?
I study graphic design and work at a nightclub 3 nights a week. I love to spend time with my girlfriend, I skateboard a little bit and try and get a tennis match once a week with Cristian and Daniel from Remission.

Whats next for Remission?
We want to record 5-6 songs in July. 2 or 3 to be used for a new 7" and the remaining songs for a split 12" perhaps although that last part isn't final. Keep playing, keep expressing ourselves and creating beautiful music haha. Eventually quit being lazy and playing more gigs outside of our city is another goal of ours to fulfill. I was looking for something to watch last night and for some reason I settled on watching the Urethra Chronicles. It had been a while.

Watching that while falling asleep must have given me some awesome dreams.the first thing I did when I woke up(being late for work) first thing I put on was Dude Ranch. Shit was so good. I hadn't listened it since I did that shit for xFactorx.
It also led on to listening to Enema ofthe State. That reminded me of jumping around my room listening to 'the party song' over and over again trying to nail all the lyrics. If I missed a line I would go back to the start of the song. That was what.....ten years ago?no more maybe. I might have been 16.For the sake of saving face let's say i was 15/16(phew)

My love for this band never waned. Cool kids saying these are lame can get fucked. This was the soundtrack to my youth and all the songs off 'Enema...' have some memory attached to them.'dysentery Gary' brings me back to hanging in a girls house who I really wanted to hook up with but didn't have the requisite game to make the move. I did in the end but it totally sucked. It was like I was kissing her teeth for the most part. I ended up drawing and painting a Blink shirt for nephew. It was rad. What wasn't rad was thinking I saw her in town a year or two ago. I can't imagine what the fuck she would look like now but I had this wierd photo-fit composite in my head and was pretty wierded out by what I saw. My threat of going to every show if there is a reunion on the back of the dicography release still stands.I can only imagine how big of a tit i will make of myself.

"After having recorded a promo and a demo, Not Just Words Records (from the Netherlands) picked A Step Apart up to release their debut EP, followed by two other EP’s. When the band quit, plans were made to release a discography CD with everything the band had ever recorded. Two Asian labels and also React Records showed interest to handle the overseas releases. In the end, it never came out.

After getting to know Ronald (Not Just Words Recs), we came with the idea to make it available for download through my blog and share the music of what was one of the best hardcore groups from the 00's.

Buffalo kid needs your help

This is a situation beyond fucked up that anyone involved in hardcore can relate too.We all get injured and had near misses.Sometimes worst case scenarios like this happen.

On the evening of Thursday, April 14th 2011 the Buffalo hardcore community gathered at Mohawk Place to support Terror and Trapped Under Ice as they took the stage to play a show.

With plenty of pile-on�s, stage-diving, sing-along�s and an incredible vibe of unity and energy, the show got off to an awe.some start.

However, what began as a good-old hardcore show ended in a tragic incident that has forever altered the life of one of Buffalo hardcore�s very own members.

MIKE BIRD, regular show-goer, hardcore kid, and a member of the Buffalo Straight Edge community, was knocked to the ground by a stage-diver. Hitting his back and head on the concrete floor, Mike had to be rushed to the hospital via ambulance to be treated for his injuries. Unable to move his limbs, or feel any pain in his lower-body, Mike received emergency spinal surgery for his injuries.
The official diagnosis indicates that Mike broke the C5 and C6 vertebrae in his lower spine. With no feeling in his legs, it is unclear how soon 19-year old Mike will regain use of his lower body and be able to walk (or mosh) again.

Without the luxury of being able to afford his own health insurance coverage, this injury is crippling financially as well.
An ambulance ride, emergency room visit, sophisticated spinal surgery, X-Rays, physical therapy, and medication leaves Mike Bird with a medical bill that will most-likely amount to a six-figure sum. His lack of insurance and limited mobility will make paying this debt an impossible task.

The Buffalo hardcore community is banding together, pooling our collective resources and organizing benefit events to help offset Mike Bird�s medical bills.

WE NEED YOUR HELP.

The community aspect of hardcore is something that transcends the boundaries of cities, crews, cliques, scenes, and sub-genres.
We are ALL hardcore kids; we�re all cut from the same cloth.
We ALL go to shows, we ALL stage dive, and we�ve ALL had our share of mishaps.

It could have been any one of us in Mike Bird�s shoes.
He just happened to draw the short straw that night and get knocked down.
But as we all know, when someone gets knocked down in hardcore, we PICK THEM BACK UP.

Several benefit events are being organized within the Buffalo scene as we speak.
I�m told that both Terror and Trapped Under Ice are both on-board for a special merch-run related to this incident.

I have had the privilege of seeing this band twice now.The first ime i dropped too much money on a flight to London to hook up with three crucial dudes,drive to Dover,get the ferry to Calais and then drive to Belgium.It was definitely worth it as i got to see these and ON.What more could you want?Had to do the journey back after this though.That was sketchy shit.Raf who runs Anger Battery records is a driving machine.(they also have a facebook page.Be awesome and click that link)
The second time i saw them was actually this show.It was part of the React! records showcase.It was an awesome two days where i met too many awesome dudes to recount here.Good times.

We'll be fighting was,as before and actually all Atari releases,is a banger of a 7".The songs on this record are all solid.Between 'Go!' and 'Up front' i honestly dont think you could ask for better songs.As i said before any song on this record is perfect to throw on a playlist and skate like fuck or in my case like ass.I never mastered skating much.I think thats why i like this band so much.I think i lived out my failed skating dreams through their music.Its a theory i guess.

Theres a press of this record that is a Double Decker "press" that is out /30.I use the term press loosely as it apparently is just a regular copy of the record and on the insert it says "Double Decker" and is numbered out of 30.It was done by the band when they were helping out in the shop.Now thats crucial.
There were also several copies with added sharpie action on the cover.

The flier on this shirt was originally done by Chris Bavaria from the rather excellent Mindset.He did good.

This was the first shirt i managed to snag on electronic bay.com.It was a youth medium but who am i turn that down?The seller was awesome enough to include the Kutztown straight edge sticker.That got him some super good feedback.It know takes pride of place on my bedroom wall.

If you want this shirt it has been reprinted with full permission of the band and is available over at Camp Records.You better buy one before i buy them all and dont have to worry about washing them.

Do you have plans to do something else in the vain? of 'It Goes On'?
i'd love to do another showing in the future but i don't have any plans at this moment. there are a few places in philadelphia that will basically show anyone's work. you don't have to be an established or represented artist. i've been looking into something like that. low key. just to get some work out there for people to see. and believe me, i'm under no grand disillusionment that i'm a professional artist.

Are you working on anything at the moment?
see above. i'm always coming up with ideas for themes i'd like to feature in photos. it's just a matter of actually doing it. i'm trying to get back into drawing or at least sketching again too. in high school and college i'd find myself filling entire notebooks with frantic doodles. i love the look and feel of a page that's completely filled and imprinted with hand drawn lines.

Your photography is something i really dig on.What do you get out of it?
thanks. i think i've just always loved documenting aspects of my life. i constantly find myself framing up pictures in my head. looking at walls, shadows, reflections, dirt, garbage, whatever is in front of me. and documenting skate or camping trips is a no brainer. bike rides too. there's so much weird shit out there. when my knees and back finally give out on me i want to be able to sit down and flip through a stack of pictures and remember specific events that meant something to me. i guess that sounds pretty narcissistic and if it is so be it. i like trying to get "artsy" with shots of mundane tasks. like if i'm taking a picture of a friend setting up a tent or setting the coping into place on a ramp, i'll try to make it as interesting as possible. at least to my eyes. wow, i have a feeling these answers are gonna make me out to be some major art snob/douche bag. oh well, maybe i am.

Whats your current camera set up?
i have a sony cybershot DSCW50 from 2006 and a droid eris phone that has a photo app that i really like the look of. nothing special at all really. i'd like to get a new digital camera but it's definitely not a top priority. my cybershot has been buried in snow, caught in rain storms and covered in sand and it has yet to let me down.

Atari appriciation part 2:Skate Tuff

This was the first Atari record i ever bought.Funnily enough i bought it off Pauly Edge when my old band were on tour and played the same bill as Meltdown.They were big back in the day.I can still listen to Demolition and enjoy it though.Anyway i digress.I saw this in Pauly's distro and snapped it up fast

I already had the mp3s of the discography and knew the songs.The majority of the best songs feature on this 7" for real.
'Go' is hands down one of my favourite Atari songs.Its just incredible and has lyrics taht really speak to me.Its positive and to me reflects what the band were all about

That song inspired a line for one of the songs in one of my other bands.If you wanna read that as i ripped it off....i cant disagree with you.

The cover of this record is just awesome as well.Whats better than having skateboard on the cover of your record?Having a kickflip to indy sequence obviously.
To me Atari come to mind as much as Bones Brigade or Suicidal when i think of skate bands.Plus you could always shred listening to Atari.That was key to what made a good band.

This 7" to me is perfect.I know im slightly biased in saying that considering i love this band and sentimentally this was the start of my collection.The fact that 'Go' is on there is also a plus point.

How far afield did you guys tour?
the closest we ever got to an actual tour was 3 shows we played with Fastbreak and Reach the Sky starting in Wilkes Barre, PA and then off to Toronto and Montreal. it was just a long weekend jaunt but we rented a van, printed shirts and stickers and made limited edition covers for the Too Tired To Drive Home 7" which was pressed but the final covers hadn't arrived yet. so i guess Toronto was technically the farthest we ever travelled for a show. besides our Canadian weekend and the occasion show in Maryland, Buffalo, Syracuse and up around Boston, we never really got to play that far out of our "area". unfortunately we got a reputation for that too.

what was the deal with your set at the third Posi Numbers? Im to understand there was some fallout.
i don't want to retell the whole story (you can read it in the discography liner notes) but i will say that there were many factors working against us that night and in my head i definitely felt we were "off" as a band. not necessarily playing wise (although some in the audience that evening may beg to differ) but more so as a group. it didn't feel like the Atari all of us loved to be a part of and have fun with. suddenly there were heavier issues than "should i wear the chain of strength or turning point shirt tonight?" i was also really sick that night so i know that, at least in my head, that didn't help things. we got slagged pretty hard on the Rev board the following week for our on stage fashion. that was definitely the beginning of the end for us. and not just because of the posi numbers appearance. things were changing amongst ourselves regardless of how other people were viewing us. i guess if Atari ever had any "dark days" they would have been around that time. i'm probably making the whole thing sound really overly dramatic. our friendships were never threatened at any point, just different people started to have different priorities.

getting letters from kids all over Europe and Japan, seeing the first kid (who wasn't our friend) stage dive at one of our shows, starting to recognize faces and saying "what's up" to people i'd see at all the shows again like i did when i first got into hardcore, skating with friends before almost every show, stuff like that. actually, if i had to pick just one, i'd say it was a letter i got from a kid from Europe who wrote on the back of a paper bag while he was sitting on a like a four hour train going to visit his girlfriend. it was easily the most heartfelt and sincere correspondence i've ever received regarding the band. he didn't even really ask any questions or ask for a shirt or sticker or anything like that. he just offered his thoughts on our music and lyrics and how he could relate. i still have all the letters people wrote us but honestly that's one i still pull out and read occasionally. he definitely "got" what Atari was about. and i'm not saying that like we were trying to be elusive and mysterious so only an enlightened few would appreciate us. that couldn't be further from the truth. i could just tell from his writing that he was attached to the hardcore scene in a much greater sense than any limited edition colored vinyl could provide.

You recently had an Exhibition called It Goes On. Tell me a little about it.
my friend owns a skateshop in Bethlehem, PA and every other month they have a local artist display their work on the back wall. i had a specific vision of what i wanted to show and the timing was right so i asked him if i could show some work. i love that i was able to hold it at a local skateshop run by actual skaters who legitimately want to get the community involved with what they're doing. be it skating, art or music. homebase610.com...check it out.

What made you do it?
last winter i had a lot of things going on in my life that i'm sure weren't very apparent to friends or people around me but were affecting me pretty deeply. i'm not trying to sound overly dramatic but it got to the point where my head was getting pretty cloudy over decisions i had made and i knew something had to change and it needed to happen quickly. let's just say it definitely wasn't the most "posi" era in my life. i was out for a run one night and the streets were just so dark, cold and empty. it was the perfect setting for me to do some real "thinking" and try to figure out what needed to change. what i really needed was something to focus on. something to devote my energy towards that would have a tangible end result for me. i had been documenting my travels and daily sights with a crappy digital camera for almost 4 years at that point and had a high quality printer at my disposal so the idea of a photography show came to me pretty easily. i basically planned the whole show out that night on the run. "i'll choose a group of shots that mean something to me personally. i can screen print posters to promote it. i can design a zine to hand out at the opening...etc, etc, etc." by the time i got back to my house i had a rough gameplan of the whole show. it was a small show in a small skateshop but it was exactly the sort of thing i need to focus my energy on. all in all a great experience. the name of the show came from a Robert Frost quote, "In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on." it fit perfectly with how i was feeling at the time.

Bluesbreaker from Kiev kinda threw me with the intro but they are playing hard riffs with i guess Go It Alone vocals.I dunno,im terrible at comparing bands sound.If they do sound like GIA its a harder 'Histories' era vocals.The nearest comparison i can get for these dudes is if Frustration were playing in the late 90's.'Break the blues' is a BANGER!

The Pack from Moscow are playing a modern version of DYS/SSD Boston style.Its pretty good.I could definitely creepy crawl to it.

Aspire from the Ukraine are a kinda heavy 90's Outspoken i want to say.Maybe 108.Again i am terrible at comparing bands.I am am awesome however at pointing people that look like other people despite what fucking Gav says.Fuck him.

If you know me you will know im somewhat taken with a little band called Atari.To me they are perfect 90's posi core and are the epitomy of all things good about hardcore.Plus they always skated whats not to like about that?!

The print version of this blog was kicked into gear from an interview i was lucky enough to do with Brett.My good friend Jay hooked it up.I have said enough awesome things about Jay on here before,he'll get a big head, so just check out his blog.Brett was also awesome and entertained my stupid questions.Everything about this band is awesome.As such i have been meaning to do a blog entry focussing on their records.They always seemed to put extra effort into what they put out.From the screen printed covers to the different sleeves they did.Be it stop gap solutions cause other shit didn't get done in time or just special releases like the last show and the Double Decker sleeve(which i am currently missing in my collection.If any one of the ten people who follow this blog has it please get at me) it just felt special.

Then of course there was the fucking trading cards that were included with the 'too tired to drive home' 7"!They just rule.It was something that appealed to me and bands just dont do shit like anymore.Control said they would.Lets just see if they do.I also happen to have in my posession three Brett Bartos.If anyone wants to trade get at me.

Ok first off, on the discography is it Andrew or Nate who asks the crowd to dive the other way?
haha. that was actually the sound guy getting on mic and saying all that stuff. since the show was being recorded for a live release, he had all sorts of equipment there. people were diving into and off of his speakers. things were definitely getting knocked around so i can't say i blame him. oh man, i wonder how many people thought it was one of us bitching like that?

It would seem every incarnation of Atari met at KU. did any other bands come out of there?
yeah there were tons of bands based out of Kutztown. when Atari was active some of the other bands in the Kutztown scene included: the Jazz June, Rain on the Parade, Bobbycork, Grieving Eucalyptus, Regular, Javelin, Lanyard, Stillwater and the Ick. Rain on the Parade and Regular were really the only other hardcore bands. the others spanned the musical spectrum from "emo" and noise to indie rock and pop punk. some bands had 2 or 3 or even 4 overlapping members including Atari and the Jazz June. at a basement show off campus, ALL the members of Atari and the Jazz June played a short set together. we called ourselves "Voltron Super Band" and we had 2 drum kits, 4 guitars, 2 basses and 3 vocalists. we played an intro, an original and covered the Misfits' Some Kind of Hate. a lot of the shows on campus were really varied music-wise which i always thought kept things interesting. there would be 2 or 3 local bands and then 1 or 2 touring bands. the whole scene was great. we'd have hardcore kids, crust punks, skaters and hippies all crammed in a basement. it was just cool to see everyone supporting live/local music. k-town mosh krew pride!

Do you feel like you lived up to your plan of having the Turning Point existence as a band?
yes i do. actually if you review what i wrote in the discography liner notes regarding this "plan" you'll see we executed it to a T!

I never knew you were around before Rain On The Parade. What was it like having them as contemporaries?
well while the "idea" of Atari may have been around a year or two before Rain on the Parade, i believe they were a fully functioning band slightly before we were. i met Ronny Little through Nate my freshman year at Kutztown. they knew each other for a few years by then from going to shows in their hometown area. I thought ROTP was awesome. they definitely had a distinct sound that set them apart. i really dug Ronny's lyrics too. their '95 summer tour demo and the Body Bag ep are my favorite material by them. since both ROTP and Atari were based out of Kutztown, we got to play tons of shows together which was always cool. both bands recorded at Signal Sound Studios in Quakertown, PA quite often and on occasion we'd attend each other's sessions to lend a hand with backing vocals or just hang out and give support.

Tell me about your honorary #1 fan from Las Vegas.
Bobby Francis! we just loved his name and the fact that he was from Vegas and i think his letter just said, "Please send me a demo - Bobby Francis". we made him a limited edition demo layout and recorded some extra stuff at the end of his tape. just us sitting around bullshitting talking about random topics. actually, we did that with a few demos but Bobby was always our favorite. we all hope he is doing well and enjoying life.

Can you tell me how long Control has been a band?
Only been a band for about 6-7 months now, maybe a bit longer.
I have a shit memory and cant even remember our song titles.

whos in the band and what do they do?
There's me on vocals, Jonny on guitar, Anth on bass, Mr Pacey on drums and we just added Ste on 2nd guitar. I supply the fashion sense, Jonny provides the (v)edge, Anth supplys shit covers to distract us, Mr Pacey supplys bad time keeping and Ste will provide us with fancy amps.

Why the fuck has it taken you so long to get over to Dublin?
I just don't know mate, been trying to arrange it for ages. I would live in Dublin if i could, i love the place and literally have an awesome time hanging out whenever i am over.

I know you guys have a few covers you guys play.I hear UC is among them.Can you assure me you will play it here?I wont take no for an answer.....
We will play your choice of cover mate, we may even play 2 cause set isnt long. its always good to play covers that i enjoy even when people dont know what it is but thats part of the point of playing covers, that someone might hear it and check that band out.

You've been involved with hardcore for a long time.What keeps you here?
I have been around for a few years now, not as long as others but a while. I have to be honest and say hardcore is my life, i wouldnt have any of the friends i have, live where i live, have experienced so many awesome shows and been to Belgium and back in a day if it wasnt for hardcore.
I may not be as enthusiastic as i was but like everyone, as i've got older its changed for me. I see a massive change in the way hardcore is now from when i first started going to shows, some good, some bad but in the end i couldnt live without it.

What was the first band you saw that made you go "fuuuuuuuuuuck"?
It would have to be seeing The Last Chance/The Break In and Spitfire Down at Ninjafest in like 2002/3 maybe. Before that i had been to a couple of shows in Scotland where the bands were good but there was nothing like that weekend. So many people singing along, moshing, diving. A sea of X'd up fists ( i wasnt edge at that point, but i wish it had inspired me to sack off getting drunk) was so awesome. Got to see Terror that weekend to, i knew every word to LOTL and it was amazing.

When we going to see a 7" and am i going to get a test?
I wish, i am trying to talk a few different bands into doing a split with us. Seems like the best chance for someone to do a record for us as we havent had much interest yet. I would love to do a 7" as i feel the more songs we write, the better they get. Nice crew shot on the back, AlexB artwork on the front and some free baseball cards inside....just like a certain record you enjoy.
Oh and you will definately get a test press, if you promise to come over and do back ups !

Are you dudes going to be touring this summer?
We are currently trying to book a euro tour for august, had a few shows planned in Portugal and decided it would be cheaper and way more fun to play some shows on the way there and the way back. Rafael and Impact Bookings are trying to sort it out for us, i believe it will happen. Hopefully get to play Dublin again in the summer and we are meant to be doing some shows with Rip It Up and Wardogs later in the year.
Pressure/Critical Point are touring the UK in September and i'd love to get on some shows with those guys.

What will it take for you to bust out the mosh shorts you were sporting at the "last" Justice show?
Ha Ha Ha i am much more sensible these days, i may bust them out during the summer if iam over. I am much smarter these days ! I was all over the stage mosh during DM at that show....ha ha

Hmm, hard question. I would say that although not technically underrated, Undertow should be talked about much more. I would go as far as to say they may the best edge band of the 90s. Theres a statement for you !

Essential Nike?
I may have to go a bit new school and say that my own essential Nike is the Air Max 90 Current. I have 4 different colourways of that shoe and it is by far the most comfortable Nike i have worn. I also have a soft spot for a nice pair of Safari's. I wanna hear your essential Nike ?

2004 was a good year

I was a huge Bad Religion fan when i was younger.I mean i still am.I can listen to any album and still enjoy it more than most hardcore released today.I just mean i was a HUGE fan.
These photos were taken in 2004 i think it might have been the second time i'd seen them.This was the 'process of belief' tour.I remember the show being awesome for many reasons.The first would have been talking to Greg Hetson while he was walking around the venue before the show.He was super cool and super old looking.I have a photo with him somewhere that i will root out one of the days when i come to my parents house and arrange the "vault" properly.

The other thing that made this show awesome was getting upstairs in the lobby of the Ambassador where the backstage area was.Jay Bentley was on hand to sign a drum skin from the show that night.It was unreal.I had never been so fucking amped in my life.Jay Bentley was THE man as far as i was concerned.I got to meet the band and they signed my copy of the 'stranger than fiction' 7" i had.It was a prety surreal moment and i got genuinely tongue tied.Especially when Brooks Wackerman asked if i wanted him to sign it considering he didn't play on the record.In the instance of Pete Finestone not being around i gave him the all clear.I didn't really say that but im sure they would have laughed at that.We all would have been friends and i tagged along for the rest of the tour.Oh if only.
Brian Baker gave me a slice of pizza as well.Brian Baker....
